Coeus Chronicles Edition 3

Welcome to our 3rd edition of Coeus Chronicles. In Greek mythology Coeus was a Titan respected for his intellect, resolve and gift of foresight. At Coeus Advisers we use these qualities to assist our clients to make the right decisions in the areas of taxation, business finance and investments.

What a year it has been, trade wars and impeachment proceedings in the United States, Brexit still not resolved in the UK and an unlikely return of a conservative Federal Government in Australia.

Our federal unemployment rate remains low at 5.2% whilst our State languishes behind at 6.5% despite our State Government employing record numbers of public servants.  With a State election due next year the spotlight will be on both sides of government to demonstrate how they can restore business confidence and create conditions for Queensland businesses to invest in their businesses, people and explore new markets.

During the past six months we have been extremely busy in setting up our business and working with our clients to help them achieve their goals.  We are also pleased to share with you that we have acquired permanent premises in Racecourse Road, Ascot and will be moving in February next year.  We will also be hosting an opening of our new premises most likely late February so stay tuned for further announcements.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of you for your support throughout the year and wish you and your families a safe and enjoyable festive season and hopefully a well-deserved break.

In this edition of Coeus Chronicles we will look at the following:

  • Client Feature – Hart Automation

  • Compliance Matters – ATO areas of focus
  • Income Protection Insurance – Why do you need it
  • Incentives for Exporters – Export Market Development Grants
